Shop
Our shop is part of a community of independent shops and creative spaces in Glasgow’s south side. We specialise in wheel-thrown ceramics made on site, alongside a selection of contemporary Scottish craft and gifts.
Our guest makers are Beth Lamont, Steph Liddle, Clod and Pebble, Nurturing Soul, Catkin Studio, East End Press, Moorlands Candles, Lomra, Kelly Munro, and Tablet and Haar. We stock a range of beautiful botanical soap, jewellery, wall hangings, ceramics, screenprints, candles, cards and gift wrap.
Everything we stock is authentically designed and made by independent, local makers to support the rich heritage of traditional craft in Scotland.
Visit the shop to see Jen working on the potter’s wheel most days.
Studio
Wild Gorse Pottery is a working studio, making contemporary ceramics from scratch. Everything from throwing, to firing, to glazing is done by hand on site.
We use traditional techniques, stoneware clay and our original glazes to make high-quality ceramics for your home and table.
We really believe in the importance of traditional skills being celebrated and passed on. From our guest makers to our gift wrap, we wanted to be as open as possible so you know where and how everything is sourced.
With that in mind, it only made sense to have our main potter’s wheel right by the shop counter so you can watch the pots being made. After years of working in a studio where the process is hidden and disconnected from the finished work, Jen wanted to open up the space and encourage people to ask questions and maybe even join our classes to have a go themselves.
Classes
*Classes are currently paused until February 2021.*
We look forward to when you can come to the pottery to join the program of classes in hand-building and surface design which you can book online.
