We are Franklins – Our Story
An independently owned award-winning micro-brewery, we started in an ancient milking shed just outside Bexhill, East Sussex. We’re now in a 2000 litre purpose-built facility on the sprawling Sussex Downs just outside of Brighton where we brew traditional beers with a modern twist.
The music is always turned up too loud and in a nod to our roots, we have cows as next-door neighbours.
We have a lovely community on our farm, working closely with our landlord and supplying beer to his son who runs the butchers and farm shop on site.
We recently worked with Aecre Honey to install 8 beehives. We may have pilfered some of their honey for a couple of our beers.
From IPA to Best Bitter, Pale Ale to Porter and Lager to Sour, we brew beer that we are proud of and that our customers will want to drink, putting our own stamp on classic styles. We focus on sustainability and reuse throughout all stages of the brew and endeavour to work with suppliers, customers and collaborators who share our ideals.
All our beers are vegan where possible.
