Hello! I’m Ailsa. I make jewellery from my studio in Glasgow. Maybe I can make something for you?
There are two sides to my practice. Most of the time you can find me making bespoke jewellery in precious metals and stones including engagement & wedding rings. Weather you have a specific design in mind, a favourite colour or even a song I would love to help you bring your idea to life. I also have a core collection of fun and colourful pieces inspired by insects.

I have been fascinated with insects since childhood and this interest stuck with me during my time studying Jewellery & Silversmithing at Glasgow School of Art. My final degree show in 2013 was a collection of enamelled pieces inspired by beetles and both these aspects still feature heavily in my work. My designs always start on paper with continuous line drawings. I combine traditional powder enamel alongside industrial enamel techniques to transfer my fluid drawing style directly onto the metal. My work is not about following trends but creating exciting jewellery that can be cherished for many years to come.
